Accommodations
Getting here: Florence/Northampton is located right off of I-91 in Massachusetts. If you're flying in, the best airport destination is Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Windsor Locks, CT, also off I-91. Driving time from the airport to Florence is about 40 minutes. For rental cars and alternative transportation, go here https://bradleyairport.com/transport/. Please note that Boston Logan airport is 2.5 hours away! If you must fly in there, renting a car is the way to go.
Staying here: For a comprehensive list of hotels, restaurants, transportation, and other amenities in and around Florence/Northampton and nearby Amherst, try this Google search, or go to https://northampton.live/places-to-stay. We will not have enough out-of-town guests for a hotel block.
Along with the many chain hotels and Airbnbs in the area, there are some little gems. The 100 year-old Hotel Northampton is right in the heart of Northampton's shopping, food and entertainment center. Or if you just want the basics someplace quiet and close-by, try the North King Motel, just off I-91 and a quick ride to Look Park and our house.
Food: If you're hungry before and after the wedding events, we highly recommend Masa Mexicano, The Pie Bar, or Miss Flo's Diner in Florence. In downtown Northampton, Familiars Coffee & Tea, and Amanouz Cafe will hit the spot.
Getting around: For ways to get around, please know that Uber and Lyft are a little slow around here. For a gritty ride with a chatty but friendly driver, try Cosmic Cab. There's also rental car services in the area, like Enterprise. You could also use our clean and safe bus system - PVTA, or be green and use Valley Bike Share.
